The Direct Surfaces Team’s mission is to make it delightful for users to manage their money. We are rebuilding and unbundling the core of Stripe to create Stripe Treasury — a single platform that fulfills all financial needs regardless of business, location, or use case. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will work comfortably on new products under fluid conditions, balancing tactical and strategic considerations. You will scope and lead technical projects, laying the groundwork for products to iteratively evolve and scale. Your responsibilities include designing, building, expanding, and maintaining user interfaces, related APIs, and services. You will collaborate with partners to design and launch new features and capabilities, align technical decisions with Stripe’s broad strategic initiatives, and advocate for the needs of emerging businesses.

You will work cross-functionally with engineers across the company to determine when to leverage existing infrastructure versus building bespoke solutions. You will develop and execute both short- and long-term roadmaps, making effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation.

Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of industry experience building high quality code and infrastructure
- Proven ability to build scalable products with attention to detail
- Experience ensuring great user experience and ease of use of features and products
- Strong understanding of best practices for building and working with UIs and APIs
- Experience working cross-functionally and earning trust at all levels
- Preferably strong expertise in React and experience with React Native
- Experience with financial product companies and interest in financial products and markets is a plus
