About the Role
Camden Council is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Procurement Project Manager to join our procurement team. You will support the delivery of efficient, transparent, and socially responsible procurement services that reflect Camden’s values. In this role, you will lead, shape, and steer the delivery of complex procurement projects at all levels within the category area, including those above and below procurement thresholds.

Reporting to the Category Manager responsible for commercial strategy within the Investment, Place and Opportunity directorate, you will focus on spend involving capital investment projects and related consultancy services across green spaces, public realm, transport strategy, culture, environmental services, grounds maintenance, sustainability, community safety, inclusive economy, and employment support services.

Your key responsibilities will include managing projects from initiation through contract implementation and lifecycle, maximising savings and efficiencies while ensuring quality standards. You will act as an expert advisor, challenging procurement processes to ensure fairness and scrutiny, and embedding social value outcomes in every procurement you support.

This role involves close collaboration with service leads across the Council to provide a professional, value-adding procurement service. Requirements

Experience
Proven experience managing complex procurement projects, preferably within the public sector or a similarly regulated environment. Demonstrated ability to deliver procurement outcomes that maximise savings and efficiencies while maintaining quality and compliance.

You have strong commercial acumen and are confident challenging existing processes to ensure fairness and transparency. Qualifications
Relevant professional qualifications in procurement or project management are desirable but not essential. A commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to procurement best practices is expected.
