About the Role
As an Independent Reviewing Officer for Foster Carers, you will play an integral role within the Fostering Team by monitoring and reviewing the quality and effectiveness of care standards provided by the council’s foster carers. This involves chairing independent annual and ad hoc fostering review meetings. You will identify strengths and gaps in the social work foster care assessment process and the support offered to carers. The role requires you to identify practices that are not delivering good outcomes and to constructively challenge these, both informally and formally, to improve practice. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and requires an Enhanced DBS check. Camden also offers the DBS update service.

Experience
Extensive experience of chairing complex meetings is essential. Senior or managerial experience in leading multiple complex cases and supervision is highly desirable. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with families, internal staff, and partner agencies within the professional network is required.

Qualifications
