Hours
5 days per week (10 sessions), term time (teacher’s terms and conditions). The working day is between 8am and 6pm with an agreed shift pattern. Occasionally, work may be required outside these hours with notice.

£38,766 - £60,092 per annum, Grade: Qualified Teacher Status Upper & Main Pay scales

About the Role
As a Nursery Teacher with DfE Qualified Teacher Status at Langtry Nursery, you will lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of a high-quality early years curriculum, fully committed to anti-discriminatory practice. This includes daily, weekly and termly planning tailored to meet children’s needs and interests.
You will be a key member of the nursery leadership team, promoting children’s development within a secure, safe and stimulating environment, guided by good practice curriculum frameworks appropriate to the children’s ages and stages of development.
The role includes lead responsibility for assessing children’s overall development through observations, recording achievements and maintaining developmental records to a high standard. You will plan and implement interventions for children with SEND and additional needs. Day-to-day work requires adherence to Child Protection and safeguarding procedures, reporting any concerns to the Head.
You will collaborate with a range of professionals within the centre, parents/carers, the children’s centre multiagency team, other council services such as the inclusive intervention team, and community resources including local schools and groups.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and requires an Enhanced DBS check. Camden also offers the DBS update service.
The contract is offered within the teachers’ pay and conditions act.
Experience
Proven experience working directly with young children in a group day care setting. Experience working within a busy nursery environment is essential.

You have knowledge and awareness of child protection and safeguarding policies and practices, and experience working with families with complex needs.
Qualifications
Must hold DfE Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a valid Teacher Reference Number.
