About the Role
The Project Controls Manager will be ultimately responsible for establishing the budget loaded programme, monitoring, control and reporting systems to comply with the Contract and Works Information, facilitating the successful delivery of a major project. You will ensure effective execution of Project Controls in accordance with company procedures to achieve best practice project administration, delivering close project control and accurate project forecasting.
This role is based on the HS2 project, the UK’s new high speed rail network designed to drive economic growth across Britain by freeing up space on existing railways and connecting 8 of the UK’s 10 biggest cities with fast, reliable, and frequent high speed services. The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract, which includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks, and construction of site compounds.

- Managing Project Control Engineer(s) and other staff as appropriate
- Understanding and implementing Client and Joint Venture Partners' Environment and Sustainability Policies, Processes and statutory requirements relevant to the project
Experience
- Project Management experience, either as part of a team or independently
- Numeracy and ability to create and use Excel spreadsheets

Qualifications
Essential:
- Relevant project management experience
Desirable:
- Civil or other engineering degree, or Project Control specific qualifications
- Experience with Power BI, Primavera P6 and other Project Control software such as PRISM, iTWO
