About the Role
We are seeking a Procurement and Supply Chain Manager to join the Gatwick Frameworks team, leading the procurement of packages through competitive tender routes from strategy and market engagement through to contract award and ongoing supply chain management. Costain has been appointed on two construction frameworks to deliver London Gatwick’s Civils and Building Frameworks, covering a range of capital projects to upgrade and modernise the airport’s infrastructure, support growing passenger demand, and enhance resilience. The frameworks run for four years with an option to extend by two years.

The role involves managing procurement activities for highways landside and airside civils packages including Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), detailed design, surveys, and construction, as well as buildings and terminal upgrade works. You will ensure that sector Procurement & Supply Chain strategy is deployed and implemented effectively, balancing operational project requirements with the strategic goals of the Group.

Experience
- Significant experience in a similar level procurement and supply chain role within the construction industry.
- Proven ability to lead supply chain engagement including chairing procurement meetings and negotiations.
- Operational procurement and supply chain skills relevant to construction.
- Basic carbon literacy and awareness of ISO20400 Guidance Standard for Sustainable Procurement.

Desirable Experience
- Experience structuring and negotiating commercial and contractual terms under NEC3 ECC and heavily modified NEC3/NEC4 subcontracts.
- Previous knowledge of Frameworks projects and associated procurement practices.
- Extensive expertise in ISO20400 with demonstrable sustainable outcomes through the supply chain (e.g., reduction in Scope 3 GHG emissions).
- Experience with ISO 44001 from concept to delivery with Strategic Supply Chain Partners or equivalent experience with Project 13 principles.

Qualifications
- Essential: Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualified, minimum level 5.
- Desirable: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Other accredited certifications in procurement or supply chain management are advantageous.
