The Arcadis Mobility Programme Management & Commercial Management unit is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Manager to lead the planning and scheduling of a major programme in London and the south of England. This pivotal role combines strategic planning, team leadership, and performance reporting to ensure successful project delivery.

You will play a key role in delivering mobility infrastructure projects across rail, highways, and aviation sectors, driving continuous improvement and ensuring robust project controls throughout the project lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining baseline plans, monitoring progress, implementing recovery plans, and providing expert input into bids and resource planning. You will also mentor planners, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, and promote the adoption of emerging digital tools to enhance planning processes.

Requirements

Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, ideally within major rail or infrastructure programmes.
Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of the UK mobility sector and project delivery requirements.
Proficient in planning software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
Experience with project controls, cost engineering, and financial operations.
Familiarity with different contracting environments and commercial models.

Qualifications
Degree, HNC or HND in Engineering, Project Management, or a related subject.
Desirable: Membership of a relevant professional body.
Desirable: Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
Broad understanding of rail, highways or aviation engineering, construction, and investment planning systems.
