About the Role
Join the Commercial Team at London and Quadrant Housing Trust (L&Q) as a Project Quantity Surveyor. This permanent role offers hybrid working with 20% to 40% of contractual hours worked from the London Stratford office. You will be responsible for the financial and contractual administration of projects within the Voids or Responsive Repairs / Minor Works workstreams, ensuring all quantity surveying duties are performed to the highest standard. Reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will manage up to three direct reports and take full ownership of projects and workstreams to ensure all costs and contracts are in place.

You will support operational colleagues to address significant project issues and ensure all contractual processes are observed. Managing subcontractors and suppliers to achieve best value while protecting the business contractually and providing accurate financial forecasting will be key to your success. Requirements

Experience
- Extensive quantity surveying experience, ideally within project environments such as Voids or Responsive Repairs / Minor Works.
- Proven ability to manage principal and subcontractor arrangements.
- Experience in managing poor performance and delivering mitigation strategies.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with data interrogation capabilities.
- Competent in standard methods of measurement and use of NHF Schedule of Rates.

- Confident in supporting operational colleagues and managing subcontractors to achieve best value.
- Commercially aware with good legal and contractual knowledge.
- Able to manage budgetary constraints using forensic cost control techniques.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing up to three direct reports.
- Agile worker comfortable with hybrid working arrangements.

Qualifications
- Degree or HNC level qualification in a related discipline or equivalent substantial experience.
- Professional qualification (CIOB or RICS) is desirable but not essential.
