About the Borough
Joining us means working for not just one high performing London Borough, but two. Kingston and Sutton councils share a number of services, offering opportunities to learn from a wider pool of activities and two different political bodies. We support flexible working patterns including hybrid working from both Kingston and Sutton offices, and provide the equipment to enable this flexibility. We encourage creativity and ambition in delivering services.
Exciting developments include the London Cancer Hub in Sutton, a world-leading cancer research and treatment centre, and Kingston’s largest housing regeneration programme focused on energy efficient housing. Both boroughs are committed to tackling the climate emergency through new technologies and societal change.
Kingston is a historic Royal borough on the Thames with excellent schools, vibrant retail, and extensive green spaces such as Richmond and Bushy Parks. Sutton is a well-connected, attractive part of London known for excellent schools, green spaces, and a thriving heritage and culture scene. Both councils are Liberal Democrat controlled and have ambitious plans to create vibrant, inclusive communities.
