About the Role
The Regulatory Compliance Senior Associate is a key member of the Regulatory Advisory team, acting as the primary communication channel between our businesses and regulators. This role involves handling applications related to new product initiatives, managing review and information requests from regulators, and serving as the first point of contact for advice on interpreting current or forthcoming regulations. Reporting to the Senior Regulatory Advisor, you will support the team with business initiatives, regulatory requests, tracker management, and information oversight. The role supports multiple business lines including SwapClear, Listed Rates, ForexClear, EquityClear, RepoClear, and CaLM.
The Compliance department at LCH Ltd is structured into Regulatory Advisors and Core Compliance teams, led by the Chief Compliance Officer who reports to the CEO of LCH Ltd, with a functional reporting line to the Group Chief Compliance Officer. The department ensures the business operates within the regulatory framework, manages relationships with regulators, oversees reporting requirements, manages new licence and product applications, and conducts periodic assurance reviews. The vision is to maintain alignment with best regulatory compliance practices by recruiting talented staff, deepening regulator relationships, maintaining robust monitoring functions, and continuously innovating processes.
Key responsibilities include coordinating regulatory exams and submissions, obtaining approvals for business initiatives, supporting the development and implementation of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) systems, providing compliance advice and guidance, reviewing regulations and consultations, extending compliance monitoring frameworks, drafting minutes from regulatory meetings, maintaining management trackers and MI, supporting wider Markets compliance projects, and assisting Core Compliance with policy assessments and key compliance controls.

Experience
Experience in compliance, legal, audit, or post-trade operational environments is desirable. Understanding of regulatory issues impacting market infrastructure or wholesale financial services is beneficial. Knowledge of regulations relating to Central Counterparty Clearing is an advantage.
