About the Role
This is a temporary 9-month contract role within Nomura's Finance Department, specifically in the Liquidity Reporting team of the Treasury department in the UK Finance Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly regulatory liquidity reporting processes and reviews that support both internal and external regulatory submissions for the European consolidation group, including Nomura International plc. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on continuous improvement, automation, and control enhancements across multiple liquidity regimes (PRA, EBA, JFSA).

Key responsibilities include validating and submitting PRA, EBA, and JFSA returns (PRA110, LCR, ALMM, NSFR, Asset Encumbrance), managing review and submission processes, supporting Mumbai team metrics production, preparing commentary and management information on liquidity flows, leading User Acceptance Testing for IT improvements, maintaining control frameworks, and acting as a liaison between Regulatory Reporting, Treasury Liquidity Management, Change/Project teams, Regulatory Policy, and IT.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven liquidity reporting experience within an Investment Banking environment, specifically solo entity level reporting and validation of PRA ILG (PRA110), LCR, ALMM, Asset Encumbrance, and NSFR.
- Detailed knowledge of PRA and EBA liquidity regulations and reporting guidance.
- Familiarity with JFSA Basel III liquidity rules is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of investment banking products (Secured Financing, Unsecured, Derivatives) and their impact on liquidity reporting.
- Previous experience as a Regulatory Reporting Controller is essential.
- Experience with regulatory reporting software (e.g., AXIOM) and EBA/PRA submission processes (XBRL wrappers, taxonomy specifications) is a plus.
- Strong IT literacy, analytical and numerical skills; familiarity with big data analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx) is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure with tight deadlines.

About you
- Detail-oriented with a logical and structured approach.
- Control-focused mindset with the ability to self-review, identify issues proactively, and escalate appropriately.
- Flexible and adaptable to a rapidly changing regulatory environment and evolving business processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across teams and functions.
- Results-driven and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications or experience in regulatory reporting or finance are preferred but not explicitly required.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and knowledge sharing.
- Alignment with Nomura’s competencies including strategic decision-making, entrepreneurship, organizational capability, and fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace culture.
