About the Role
The successful candidate will support residents affected by regeneration schemes, decant programmes, under-occupation initiatives, and sheltered housing moves. This is a highly resident-facing role involving helping tenants navigate the rehousing and allocations process. Key responsibilities include conducting home visits to council tenants, assessing housing needs and rehousing eligibility, advising residents on regeneration plans and housing options, supporting residents through the allocations process, identifying suitable properties and conducting accompanied viewings, assisting with temporary and permanent decants for regeneration and major works projects, carrying out sheltered housing assessments, engaging with under-occupying tenants regarding downsizing opportunities, providing rehousing advice to internal and external stakeholders, and supporting community engagement and resident events.

Experience

About You
You will likely have transferable skills from working within housing services and local government, including understanding policies, procedures, and legislation, stakeholder engagement, case management and problem solving, data analysis and decision making, supporting service improvements and resident outcomes, and experience dealing with sensitive resident issues. Emphasis should be placed on any direct experience with tenancy matters, resident engagement, complaints or customer service, housing allocations, decants, temporary accommodation or rehousing, and working with vulnerable residents.
