About the Role
Join the Ministry of Justice's award-winning Communications Directorate as a proactive and enthusiastic communications professional within the Recruitment and Retention Communications team. You will help deliver communications that attract, engage and retain the people who keep our justice system running, supporting magistrates' recruitment and retention as well as wider work across prisons and probation. This is an exciting opportunity to expand outreach and partnership activities to support recruitment into critical operational and judicial roles, helping shape initiatives aligned with ministerial and departmental priorities.

In this role, you will plan and support engagement activities including recruitment fairs, open days, employer partnerships, educational engagement and community outreach. Collaborating with colleagues across communications, policy and operational teams, you will develop content, coordinate events, build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and identify opportunities to reach new audiences.

A key focus will be supporting partnerships that raise awareness of the magistracy and encourage applications from diverse communities, alongside contributing to recruitment and retention communications across prisons and probation. You will also use audience insight to inform communications planning, monitor performance, and contribute to evaluation and reporting to continuously improve the team's impact.

This role suits an organised, collaborative and creative individual with strong communication skills, a proactive approach and a genuine interest in helping people discover rewarding public service opportunities.
