About the Role
Join the Ministry of Justice as a Senior DevOps Engineer within Justice Digital, Data and Science. You will be part of collaborative Hosting Platform Teams transforming the department’s digital services by providing modern hosting platforms with embedded operations tools and best practices. Working with cloud native architectures on AWS and Azure, you will help deliver secure, user-centred, open-source web systems that improve access to justice.

This role requires Security Check clearance and offers a hybrid working model to support work-life balance. You will collaborate closely with software developers, product managers, designers, architects, and other specialists to build systems designed for rapid change using DevOps, agile, and GitOps methodologies.

As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to automating deployments, managing infrastructure as code, building automation tools, and supporting delivery teams to maintain repeatable and auditable infrastructure patterns. You will also help identify and resolve friction in build, deployment, and operational workflows.

Experience
- Managing infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform
- Using version control technologies such as Git
- Working with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Programming in languages such as Go, Python, Ruby, or JavaScript
- Working with container orchestration
- Applying continuous delivery methods and deployment processes
- Leading tasks within mixed skillset teams
- Sharing knowledge and fostering a DevOps culture
