We are seeking an experienced and professional Retail Manager to lead a dynamic retail operation, driving sales performance while maintaining exceptional customer service standards. You will manage day-to-day retail activities, oversee the team, and ensure smooth operation of all retail areas. This role requires strong leadership, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to motivate and develop your team to achieve organisational objectives.

Key responsibilities include overseeing daily retail operations such as opening and closing procedures, stock rotation, sales reporting, and reconciliation. You will manage inventory levels, conduct stock takes, and implement effective stock control systems to minimise wastage and shrinkage. Driving sales through visual merchandising, promotional activities, and customer engagement strategies is essential. Maintaining high standards of customer service and a professional retail environment is a priority. You will monitor and analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities to improve profitability, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies, and conduct staff inductions, training, and appraisals to support team development. Additionally, you will manage budgets, control costs, liaise with head office and other departments, and professionally address customer complaints to maintain satisfaction.

Experience
Proven experience in retail or hospitality management within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop diverse teams.
Solid understanding of retail operations including purchasing, stock control, ordering accuracy, merchandising standards, product rotation, and sales forecasting.
Confident working with financial targets, analysing sales data, monitoring KPIs, and supporting budget management.
Proficiency with POS systems, digital menus, and retail management platforms.
Knowledge of health & safety, food safety, and due diligence procedures.
Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret performance data and act decisively.
