About the Role
Positive Change Service, part of the Children’s Social Care, MASH and Assessment & Intervention Service, is seeking a permanent Safety Worker to work with perpetrators of domestic abuse. This post is specified for a male worker as an occupational requirement to enable mixed-gender co-facilitation in group work with fathers. The service delivers psycho-educational interventions with perpetrators, survivors, and children impacted by domestic abuse. Our team is creative, supportive, and motivated, working for both systems change and personal change to improve the lives of families in Tower Hamlets.
The role involves both group and individual work with clients, as well as liaising with referrers and other stakeholders. Typical client work lasts from six months to a year and may include assessment, group work, individual sessions, and co-parenting work between (ex)-partners. All interventions aim to increase the safety of children and adult survivors of domestic abuse.
We are a self-reflective team providing strong clinical supervision, training, and development opportunities. You will deliver structured and specialist interventions using a broad range of therapeutic approaches and be supported to develop your skills with ongoing learning.

Experience
Experience in delivering domestic abuse behaviour change work and working with parents to promote children’s safety is essential.

You should be able to work effectively with perpetrators, survivors, and children impacted by domestic abuse and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or experience in social care, counselling, psychology, or related fields are desirable but not explicitly stated. A commitment to professional development and clinical supervision is expected.
