About the Role
Join the Scheme Improvement Team at London and Quadrant Housing Trust (L&Q), part of the Caretaking Service dedicated to delivering a responsive, customer-focused service for our residents. You will work as part of a team to maintain high standards in communal areas within blocks and estates. Your duties will include carrying out pre-planned projects such as painting, decorating, grounds work, and general scheme improvements, alongside some minor maintenance tasks as required. You will liaise directly with L&Q staff, residents, and contractors, always maintaining due regard for health, safety, and security.

Experience
Capable of carrying out a variety of repair jobs with trade skills, DIY, or gardening experience essential. Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Good communicator with willingness to learn new skills as the service evolves. Confident working remotely and able to plan and schedule work effectively. Self-motivated, proactive, and organised with strong awareness of safe working practices. Good interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with colleagues, residents, and contractors.
Qualifications
A full UK manual driving licence is essential as the role requires driving a company vehicle (Large Ford Transit). A good standard of literacy and IT skills is required to undertake online courses and assessments, with further training provided during probation. Successful candidates must apply for or hold a Basic Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) certificate.
