About the Role
The Section Engineer is responsible for overseeing the execution of a specific section of a project, ensuring all engineering tasks meet required standards. You will manage the delivery of works in line with Costain's contractual obligations and construction programme. Key duties include ensuring all works are covered by approved RAMS and relevant permits, following the temporary works process, briefing workforce and subcontractors effectively, and supporting client needs to facilitate smooth site operations. You will also be responsible for feeding into weekly and monthly programmes, maintaining accurate site diaries, ensuring assurance, ITPs, and check sheets are in place, and carrying out safety and quality inspections. Collaboration with site supervision to provide necessary information for safe and timely work completion is essential.

Experience
- Understanding of engineering principles
- Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices
- Some civil/mechanical construction experience
- Design management experience

Qualifications
- Degree or HNC level qualification in a relevant engineering subject
- Relevant CSCS Card
- Vocational training or successful experience at Graduate Engineer level
- Full UK driving licence
