About the Role
The Securitised Products & Private Credit (SP&PC) team at Nomura is active in the structured illiquid credit space, providing flexible capital solutions to support a variety of financing situations including infrastructure financing, portfolio financing, private credit, direct lending, and real estate financing. The team operates as principal and distributes risk on an ad-hoc basis, engaging across origination, screening, diligence, structuring, execution, syndication, and monitoring phases of the transaction lifecycle. As an Analyst, you will work within a focused team to design and prepare structured financing proposals tailored to client needs, support screening, risk approval and due diligence processes, perform fundamental credit analysis and financial modelling, assess underlying project cash flows and collateral value, and draft transaction memoranda. You will participate in client and internal meetings, execute trades and associated hedges, assist in day-to-day management of SP&PC processes, and help manage existing risks including operational, credit, and rates risks. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the team’s client franchise across EMEA and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience
Basic understanding of corporate finance and familiarity with illiquid credit products is required. Previous work experience in structured finance is desirable, including asset-backed lending, infrastructure finance, project finance, real estate finance, or portfolio finance. Strong numerical and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel and financial modelling, are essential.
About you
You should have a critical thinking and logical approach to problem solving, good writing skills for transaction memoranda and formal communications, and the ability to think proactively and identify opportunities to generate value. You must be able to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic environment and build close relationships with clients and internal stakeholders such as colleagues in IBD, sales, structuring, and corporate functions.
Qualifications
Relevant academic qualifications in finance, economics, or related fields are expected. Demonstrated competencies include strategic decision making, inspiring entrepreneurship, elevating organizational capability, and fostering inclusion and respect within the workplace. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is essential.
