About the Role
We are recruiting for an Assistant Preparing for Adulthood Officer to join our Special Educational Needs Service within Children's Services. The SEND Preparing for Adulthood team is responsible for amending and maintaining Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans and coordinating the educational placements of young people with SEND. You will support the EHCP processes and effectively manage queries from schools, colleges, training providers, supported employment providers, and parents/carers regarding the progress of SEND Statutory Annual Review processes. This is a permanent role offering the opportunity to contribute to meaningful outcomes for young people with SEND.
Experience
Experience of liaising with children/young people, families, and professionals is essential. Knowledge of SEN processes and legislation is required. Experience using Synergy education management software is desirable.

You are highly motivated, organised, and able to work effectively within a team. You have excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and queries professionally and sensitively.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or experience in SEND or related fields are preferred but not explicitly stated as mandatory.
