We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Platform Enterprise Services Team in the UK. In this role, you will design, build, optimize, maintain, and secure the full data vertical, including tracking instrumentation, ETL pipelines, and enterprise data marts that support business-critical decisions across Product, Finance, Sales, CRM, Marketing, Data Science, and more.

You will work in a dynamic environment with a continuously modernizing tech stack, cloud-based infrastructure, and real-time responsiveness. You will collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders, lead medium to large projects, and mentor junior team members while solving complex data challenges.

Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality data sets from large-scale sources, building scalable ETL pipelines on platforms like Snowflake and BigQuery, ensuring data mart integrity and documentation, managing SLA and dependencies of data pipelines, writing technical documentation, and supporting tracking solutions across teams.

Experience
- 6+ years of data engineering or general software development experience
- Working with large datasets (terabyte scale and growing)
- Familiarity with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, BigQuery, Snowflake
- Experience with relational databases (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Comprehensive data design and modeling experience
- Proven ability to develop complex ETL processes including SLA definition, performance measurement, and monitoring
- Advanced SQL skills with experience writing complex queries
- Systems performance and optimization expertise
- Functional programming experience in Python or equivalent
- Strong software engineering principles
- Proven technical leadership on medium to large projects
