About the Service and Team
The Design team consists of a range of roles including Team Lead, Principal Engineer, Senior Engineer, Graduate, Technician, and Apprentices. The wider Design & Delivery team has approximately 30 staff covering Street Lighting, TMOs, Planned Maintenance, Vehicle Crossovers, and Surveys.

About the Role
As Senior Engineer, you will support the Principal Engineer to manage the design team and deliver a range of highway and transportation schemes. You will be responsible for checking drawings and designs, ensuring adherence to standards and processes, advising clients on technical design queries, leading project meetings, producing documents and reports related to design stages, analysing traffic data, and proposing interventions.

Experience
- Proven experience managing team members to deliver a range of highway and transportation schemes.
- Strong technical knowledge of highway design processes including Utilities C2, C3, CDM Regulations, and Road Safety Audits.
- Previous experience working within Local Authority and Consultancy environments is beneficial.
- Local knowledge of the Kingston and Sutton highway network is desirable.
