JOB TITLE: Senior Manager - Accounting Policy SALARY: £93,908 - £121,528 LOCATION(S): London/Bristol HOURS: Full-time WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. About this opportunity This is a key role within the External Reporting and Accounting Policy team dealing with accounting and disclosure matters affecting Lloyds' reporting. The role is intellectually stimulating and requires regular contact and consultation with divisional finance teams, the auditors and other Group teams. It will give you the opportunity to understand the businesses throughout the Group, continue to develop your technical accounting knowledge and contribute by providing advice that both follows accounting standards and recognises the commercial aims of the business. Responsibilities: Provide high quality technical advice on a wide range of ad hoc queries and proposed corporate transactions. Involvement with the preparation of the Group's annual report and accounts and other documentation published externally; Supporting Group Corporate Treasury on our debt issuance programmes; Ensuring that the Group's accounting policies are up-to-date and reflect prevailing practice; Helping others improve their accounting knowledge through both formal and ad hoc training; and Ensuring, through horizon scanning, that we're aware of proposed changes to the accounting standards. What you'll need: You'll have a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) with a number of years of post-qualification experience A strong understanding of IFRS and have the ability to explain complex accounting matters both verbally and in writing to technical accountants, including the auditors, and non-specialists. You'll think laterally around issues and propose innovative solutions. Building effective, collaborative working relationships with key contacts in both finance and the business will be key given the breadth of the role. As a member of a small senior team, you'll be able to work independently and judge when matters need to be raised.
