About the Role
This Group Risk role sits within the Second Line of Defence, providing independent oversight of non-financial and strategic risks across the Workflows and Communities businesses within the Data & Analytics (D&A) division. Based in London, you will work closely with the Head of Risk for D&A Workflows and Communities, covering LSEG’s flagship Workspace product and associated strategic partnerships and initiatives including AI integration, next-generation product development, and evolution of the cloud infrastructure. Workspace offers access to the broadest and deepest coverage of financial data, news, analytics, and efficiency tools in a highly customised AI-assisted experience across desktop, web, and mobile platforms.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end risk oversight: maintaining oversight of product, platform, and supporting infrastructure risks, including BAU risk monitoring, incident trend analysis, and key risk indicators.
- Risk integration in change & strategy: providing independent Second Line input on emerging, strategic, and change risks such as new platforms, products, and migrations, ensuring risk considerations are embedded in design, development, and client transition.
- Technology, data & AI risk assessment: identifying and challenging risks across technology architecture, including cloud, data architecture, data rights, entitlements, and AI-related considerations.
- Risk framework ownership & maturity: driving the evolution and consistent application of the Enterprise Risk Framework across the Workspace business, ensuring alignment with organisational standards.
- First Line partnership & challenge: supporting and challenging the First Line in maintaining robust Risk and Control Assessments (RCA), control inventories, and effective remediation of control weaknesses.
- Governance, remediation & assurance: ensuring risks outside appetite are clearly defined, remediated, and tracked through governance forums, with strong engagement across all three lines of defence.
- Insight generation & investigation: leading topical risk investigations and providing forward-looking insights to improve risk visibility and decision-making.

Experience
Deep experience in enterprise risk management within financial services, fintech, or data services, with a solid understanding of financial markets, products, and client ecosystems. Proven expertise in large-scale technology transformation, including agile delivery, with the ability to embed risk thinking into strategic change initiatives. Strong grounding in modern technology stacks, data architectures, and AI development/integration, with the ability to assess associated risks and trade-offs.

Sound judgement in balancing complex, competing factors to drive pragmatic, risk-informed outcomes. Ability to translate complex risk, technology, and data topics into clear, concise, committee-ready insights and recommendations. Efficient at operating within dynamic environments, building relationships across various internal functions, and adapting to evolving business priorities.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in risk management, technology, or related fields are desirable but not explicitly stated. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development is expected.
