About the Role
These pan-London roles sit at the centre of the Court and Enforcement function and offer the opportunity to shape delivery across all London court sites during a period of significant operational change. You will join the Court Team at a critical time, as London prepares for and implements the ISR (Imposition, Sentencing and Release) changes. Your leadership will be pivotal in supporting staff through transition, embedding revised processes, and ensuring that operational expectations are delivered confidently, consistently and with clear oversight. Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Provide strategic and operational support across the Court and Enforcement functions, ensuring high quality delivery and consistent standards.
- Lead on performance, quality assurance, audits and inspections, driving improvement and supporting managers to meet targets.
- Oversee professional development activity, including training needs analysis, induction and capability building.
- Represent senior leadership with external partners, including participation in MAPPA where required.
- Contribute to serious incident reviews, operational action plans and case governance improvements.
- Manage business support and administrative functions to ensure strong organisational performance.
- Support staff through the rollout of ISR reforms, providing clarity, guidance and operational assurance.

Mandatory Vetting Requirement
This role requires Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) clearance due to access to sensitive police and criminal justice information and systems, including MAPPA information. Appointment is conditional upon successfully obtaining and maintaining the required level of NPPV clearance.

Qualifications
To be eligible for this role, you must meet the mandatory qualification requirements and provide evidence:
- Probation Qualification Framework Graduate Diploma or Honours Degree in Community Justice integrated with Level 5 Diploma in Probation Practice
Or a qualification recognised at the time of qualification by the Secretary of State for Justice as per Section 10 of the Offender Management Act 2007, including:
- Diploma in Probation Studies
- Diploma in Social Work (with Probation Option)
- CQSW (with Probation Option)
