We are looking for an experienced Senior Security Consultant to join our growing Security Advisory team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of high-profile projects across critical national infrastructure, central government, defence and private sector environments. You will provide expert security advice to clients, lead complex security advisory assignments and contribute to the continued growth and reputation of our specialist security consultancy capability. The role involves undertaking security risk assessments and developing security strategies, audits and masterplans for complex client environments. You will provide expert advice on physical security measures including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, hostile vehicle mitigation and building hardening solutions. You will manage security advisory projects from inception through to successful delivery across multiple sectors, manage client relationships as a trusted advisor, and lead client-facing workshops and stakeholder engagements to identify security requirements and develop proportionate solutions. Additionally, you will support business development activities, grow existing client relationships, identify new opportunities, manage project budgets, programmes, risks and mitigation actions, work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and proportionate security solutions, and ensure robust quality standards are maintained across all project outputs and deliverables.
Experience
Proven experience delivering security advisory services on complex, high-profile projects within sectors such as critical national infrastructure, government, defence or the private sector. Strong knowledge of security risk assessment methodologies, threat and risk management, security strategy development and master planning. A proven track record of successfully managing and delivering client-facing security consulting projects, with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
About you
The ability to manage workshops, facilitate discussions, capture requirements and develop practical, proportionate solutions to complex security challenges. Good commercial awareness, including an understanding of resource planning, project delivery and bid management activities. Eligibility and willingness to obtain UK Government Security Clearance (SC). You must be willing and eligible to obtain UK government security clearance (SC).
Qualifications
A relevant degree in security risk management, engineering or a related discipline, together with membership of a recognised professional body such as SyI, ASIS, APM or IRM. Chartered security professional, chartered engineer or equivalent professional accreditation is desirable.
