About the Role
Join the London Borough of Lewisham as a Senior Social Worker within the innovative Families First Contact Point (FFCP). This multi-disciplinary team plays a pivotal role in assessing and deciding the appropriate support for children and families using the Lewisham Family Help Continuum of Need. You will undertake comprehensive assessments, screening contacts using a RAG rating system, triage work including information gathering and MASH checks, and visit families to complete Family Help assessments and coordinate support. The role demands excellent engagement skills with diverse families, sound professional judgement regarding risk and need, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-agency environment.
Lewisham is a DfE Pathfinder authority leading national social care reforms through the Families First for Children programme.
