About the Role
The Senior Software Engineer will join a global development team within Global Markets IT, focused on building a new global cross-asset trade processing platform as well as enhancing and maintaining existing trade processing systems. Based in London, the successful candidate will work closely with the global team to design, build, test, and deploy critical services for trade capture, persistence, and distribution. Responsibilities include leveraging DevOps for deployments, providing system support beyond first-level, and collaborating with other technology teams to develop comprehensive capabilities across applications. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to a key platform supporting Global Markets.

Requirements

Experience
- Strong Java development skills with experience in testing and DevOps integration
- Knowledge of distributed messaging technologies such as JMS, Apache Pulsar, or Solace
- Experience with relational databases, preferably MS SQL Server
- Familiarity with frameworks like Spring, Spring Boot, and Project Reactor/Spring Webflux
- Experience working within global teams across multiple time zones
- Skills in JavaScript/React and/or Python are beneficial
- Knowledge of AI and its application in development workflows is a plus
