About the Role
Join the Regulatory News Service team at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) as a Senior Software Engineer. This role involves full lifecycle Agile development including requirements analysis, estimation, design, coding, testing, and peer code reviews. You will contribute to service improvement initiatives alongside development and support tasks, coordinating with a range of technology and business partners. You will be responsible for setting up and managing your development environment and supporting ad hoc duties aligned with team goals. Flexibility is important as some release and change management activities may occur outside standard working hours. LSEG is a global financial markets infrastructure and data provider with a rich history of over 300 years, dedicated to enabling businesses and economies worldwide to fund innovation, manage risk, and create jobs. As part of this team, you will help deliver continuous electronic market information to financial markets globally, building on a legacy of technological innovation and excellence.
Experience
- Extensive experience delivering enterprise-level software using Java
- Detailed knowledge of software development principles and Agile methodologies
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented programming, MVC, REST, Web API, and Unit testing frameworks
- Good knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL and DynamoDB experience advantageous)
- Expert practitioner of test-driven development and clean code programming
- Proficient with git (Gitlab and/or Bitbucket), source code control, and branching/merging practices
- Willingness to learn and develop using multiple programming languages

- Ability to analyze requirements and issues, evaluate multiple solutions, and implement iterative customer value

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- Experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Typescript, Angular v8+, and JS libraries
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services including DynamoDB, Redis, CloudFront, Lambda, and API Gateway
- Experience with C#, .Net / .Net Core, IIS
- Knowledge of container tooling such as Docker, Kubernetes, Anthos, AWS EKS
- Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools like Jira, Jenkins, and Nexus
- Prior experience working in large corporate enterprises is advantageous
