About the Role
Join the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) as a Senior Software Engineer within the Regulatory News Service team based in London. LSEG has a rich history of over 300 years delivering detailed market information and technological innovations to financial markets worldwide. In this role, you will engage in full lifecycle Agile development including requirements analysis, estimation, design, coding, testing, and peer code reviews. You will contribute to service improvement initiatives, development, and support tasks, collaborating closely with technology and business partners. Responsibilities include setting up and managing your development environment and supporting ad hoc duties aligned with team goals. Flexibility is essential as release and change management activities may occasionally occur outside standard working hours. Experience
- Extensive experience delivering enterprise-level software using Java
- Detailed knowledge of software development principles and Agile methodologies
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented programming, MVC, REST, Web API, and Unit testing frameworks
- Good knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL and DynamoDB experience advantageous)
- Expert in test-driven development and clean code programming
- Proficient with git (Gitlab and/or Bitbucket), source control, and branching/merging practices
- Willingness to learn and develop using multiple programming languages

Qualifications
Preferred:
- Experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Typescript, Angular v8+, JS libraries, and AWS
- Experience with C#, .Net / .Net Core, IIS
- Knowledge of AWS cloud services including DynamoDB, Redis, CloudFront
- Experience with Docker and container tooling such as Kubernetes, Anthos, AWS EKS
- Knowledge of AWS Lambda and API Gateway design and coding
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools like Jira, Jenkins, and Nexus
- Prior experience working in large corporate enterprises
