About the Role

As a Share Plans & Deferred Compensation Advisor, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing our end-to-end share plans processes. In this role, you will lead the management, design, and implementation of Shell’s share plans, including restricted share awards, performance share awards, deferred compensation programmes, and employee share purchase plans. Key accountabilities include:
- Partnering with third-party share plan administration and global tax providers to ensure accurate and timely administration
- Managing tax and legal compliance for share plans, overseeing key events such as share vestings and deliveries, supporting payroll/tax filings, and ensuring timely regulatory submissions
- Collaborating closely with internal teams including Company Secretary, Finance, Legal, Tax, and Payroll to deliver compliant share plan programmes
- Driving continuous process improvement through technology, automation, and policy reviews
- Supporting the oversight and development of share plan data management processes internally and with third-party vendors
- Assisting HR teams during divestments and other corporate activities related to share plans
- Designing compelling employee communications to enhance engagement with share plans across Shell
- Participating in external share plan forums to share learnings and ensure industry-leading processes

Experience
Extensive practical experience in share plan administration is essential. Proven ability to manage internal and external relationships effectively and work independently on ad hoc projects.
About You
Excellent numerical, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Proactive multitasker with strong organisational and project management capabilities. Enthusiastic about simplifying processes and improving the employee experience. Comfortable working collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications
High proficiency in Excel is required. Professional qualifications such as ACA, CTA, or equivalent accounting, tax, or legal qualifications are desirable. ICSA share plans qualification is also advantageous.
