Up to £41,210 (depending on experience)

About the Role
As a Shutters & Gates Engineer, you will work within a defined portfolio of Sainsbury's and other retail outlets, acting as the first point of contact for all planned and reactive maintenance tasks related to shutters and automatic gates. You will carry out servicing and repairs safely and to agreed standards, aiming for first-time fix in line with required Service Levels.

You will diagnose faults and failures effectively, provide solutions, and escalate technical issues when necessary. You will also complete surveys, technical reports, and ensure seasonal audits and checks are conducted according to standards.

Representing Arcus FM, you are expected to maintain a professional appearance, comply with the dress code, and keep your company vehicle in good condition.

This role includes reacting to emergencies and attending business-critical works. The call-out premium is incorporated into your salary.

Requirements

Experience
Significant experience as an industrial shutter door engineer, ideally within Facilities Management or retail environments. Experience with roller shutters, roller grilles, fire shutters, sectional doors, fire curtains, hi-speed doors, folding doors, manual and automatic gates, dock levellers, and dock shelters is essential.

About You
You will be able to work autonomously in a pressurised environment, prioritising a complex and demanding workload. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to effectively report operational issues and service updates. You should be customer service driven and comfortable working in a people-focused environment.
