About the Role
Flo Health is the world’s #1 health & fitness app focused on female health, with over 500 million downloads and 80 million monthly users. Backed by a $200M investment and valued at $1B in 2024, Flo is building the next generation of AI-powered, privacy-first, clinically backed digital health solutions. We are seeking a sharp, witty, and culturally fluent Social Content Manager to lead organic content strategy and execution across Flo’s perimenopause, trying-to-conceive (TTC), and pregnancy journeys. You will manage content primarily on TikTok and Meta platforms, making Flo the most trusted and relatable voice in these spaces by blending education, empathy, and cultural relevance into creative storytelling that resonates deeply with our audience.

You will own the content engine, collaborate with contributors and creators, and lead social search and discoverability efforts—a critical priority as more people turn to social media for health information. Building Flo’s presence in the discovery layer with thought leadership and credibility is central to this role.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and execute Flo’s organic social strategy across perimenopause, TTC, and pregnancy, creating content that sparks recognition, builds trust, and positions Flo as the go-to companion through these stages.
- Develop a search-optimized, evergreen-first approach to dominate conversations on For You Pages (FYPs) and platform search.
- Curate and commission diverse voices including journalists, experts, and creators to ensure authenticity, accuracy, and empathy.
- Shape conversations with thought leadership, turning cultural moments and medical insights into accessible, witty, and relatable storytelling.
- Handle sensitive subjects with care, including perimenopause symptoms, fertility struggles, pregnancy loss, and pregnancy after loss.
- Collaborate closely with medical and legal teams to ensure credibility and compliance.
- Analyze performance data and apply insights to scale sustainable content formats beyond short-term trends.
- Guide contracted contributors with clear creative direction to ensure high-quality, impactful output.
- Stay ahead of cultural and social conversations in women’s health to maintain Flo’s leadership and credibility.

Requirements

Experience
3–5+ years shaping organic social strategy and producing content, with a proven portfolio demonstrating growth on TikTok and other short-form platforms.

About you
- Strong editorial skills: commissioning, curating, and editing content from journalists, experts, and creators with a focus on accuracy, empathy, and credibility.
- Deep understanding of health and lifestyle content performance across platforms, skilled at making sensitive topics accessible, witty, and culturally relevant without losing authority.
- Hands-on expertise in social search and platform SEO, including keyword research, search-led content planning, and understanding algorithm-driven feeds and search ranking.
- Ability to brief and manage creators and contractors with a clear, outcome-focused vision.
- Strong analytics skills to translate performance data into actionable insights and evergreen content formats.
- Excellent writing and creative direction skills for short-form, social-native storytelling.
- Proactive, independent problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, test-and-learn environment.
- Genuine passion for women’s health is a significant advantage.
