About the Role
As a Social Media & Marketing Coordinator within Westminster City Council's Registration Services, you will play a key role in strengthening the national reputation of Westminster Registration Services and The Old Marylebone Town Hall as one of the country’s most iconic ceremony destinations. You will lead the delivery of the social media strategy, taking ownership of content creation, research, and day-to-day engagement across platforms. Your responsibilities include defining KPIs, analysing social media and web performance, and using data-driven insights to optimise ROI and refine engagement with couples.
You will bring fresh thinking to reinvigorate the tone and aesthetic of the brand identity across multimedia channels, setting and maintaining clear brand standards. Additionally, you will support the development of Event and Commercial packages by shaping pricing strategies, negotiating terms, and maximising revenue from venue hire and ceremony offerings.
A key part of your role will be building and securing strategic partnerships with influencers, ceremony planners, suppliers, and media organisations to strengthen reputation, enhance revenue, and improve service delivery standards. You will also assist the Business Development Manager in redeveloping A Day To Remember Magazine by refining its strategy, building relationships with advertisers, generating original editorial content, and coordinating production from concept to publication.
Experience
Proven experience working in a busy, customer-focused environment where first-class service and positive engagement are essential. Experience within heritage, ceremony, or weddings settings is beneficial but not essential. Demonstrated background in social media and digital marketing with confidence in leading strategy, content creation, and performance analysis.
Comfortable interpreting social media and web analytics to maximise KPIs and ROI. Experience working in commercial and partnership-focused environments, including negotiating agreements and supporting event commercialisation.
