About the Role
As a Web Design Tutor at Westminster Adult Education Service (WAES), you will deliver inspiring teaching and learning experiences that help adult learners build confidence, creativity, and practical digital skills. You will support learners from across London to develop their web design capabilities, enabling them to take meaningful steps towards employment, further study, or launching their own creative ventures. Your responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging teaching, learning, and assessment across the web design provision, creating a supportive and inclusive environment where learners feel motivated to grow. You will track and monitor learner progress in line with service requirements to maximise outcomes and ensure timely support. A key part of your role is assessing learners according to qualification specifications and awarding body requirements, maintaining high standards while creating opportunities for success. Additionally, you will provide tailored advice, guidance, and support to help learners progress, build confidence, and explore new pathways within the digital and creative industries. You will collaborate closely with Managers and Course Leaders to contribute insights on learner progress and programme delivery. This role offers variety and visible impact, allowing you to deliver a transformative educational experience that inspires adult learners and makes a genuine difference through the power of digital skills.

Requirements

Experience
Recent experience teaching in a post-16, further education, or adult learning setting is essential. You should have a genuine passion for helping people build confidence and practical skills, and enjoy creating inclusive, supportive environments where adult learners can grow in confidence and capability over time.

About you
You are comfortable using online tools and Virtual Learning Environments to support learning or are willing to develop your confidence in this area. You have a strong command of written and spoken English and solid IT skills, enabling you to communicate clearly and adapt your approach to suit learners with diverse needs and backgrounds. You are motivated to make a difference by helping people thrive, build confidence, and access new opportunities. You value being part of a supportive, values-driven team where collaboration and encouragement are integral, and where your contribution is recognised as you continue to grow in your role.

Qualifications
You may already hold an assessor award such as A1 or TAQA, or be willing to work towards one, demonstrating your commitment to high-quality teaching and assessment. A recognised teaching qualification at Level 3 and a relevant subject specialism at Level 3 or above will support your success in this role.
