As a Social Worker in the Children with Disabilities team, you will manage caseloads of approximately 15-18 children and undertake duties in line with the Children Act 1989 and other relevant legislation. Your responsibilities will include investigating allegations of neglect or abuse, instigating Child Protection procedures, supervising children subject to Child Protection Plans, and assessing children looked after by Ealing to ensure statutory duties are met.

You will prepare reports and statements for family court proceedings, undertake assessments, design and implement care and protection plans, and promote quality standards and best practice. The role requires managing a complex caseload with a high degree of professional accountability and autonomy, providing innovative social work services, and supporting the principle that children should remain with their families wherever possible.

You will also promote a learning culture, lead on sharing best practice across the department and partnerships, undertake complex assessments, and make sound analytical judgements to provide effective care packages within budgetary constraints. Supporting students and colleagues through the practice educator framework and contributing to learning and development activities are also key aspects of this role.

Experience
Qualified and Social Work England registered social worker with experience delivering high standards of professional practice. Experience working with children with disabilities and complex needs is desirable. Ability to manage a complex caseload with professional autonomy and accountability.
