About the Role
Ealing Council has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Auditor to join our internal audit shared service covering Ealing and Hounslow Councils. Following the insourcing of the team in 2024, we are building a centre of excellence in internal audit. We are seeking an ambitious, professional, and conscientious individual to join our team, with a strong focus on growth and development.

As Senior Auditor, you will be responsible for delivering risk-based audits across a diverse portfolio of services. You will manage complex audit reviews, oversee the implementation of audit recommendations, and provide expert advice on governance, risk management, and internal control. The role also involves developing and mentoring audit trainees, managing key stakeholder relationships, and deputising for senior management as required. You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement and strengthening assurance across the organisation.

Experience
Sound audit background, preferably within a local government environment. Proven ability to perform internal audit work to a high standard.

Qualifications
Good understanding of audit principles, controls, governance, and risk is essential. Relevant professional qualifications in audit or accounting are desirable.
