About the Role
We are seeking a Specialist Housing Officer to join our Rough Sleeper Initiative (RSI) service, delivering high-quality, locality-based housing management to some of our most vulnerable customers. You will play a vital role in helping people sustain their tenancies and feel safe, supported, and empowered in their homes. Working closely with care and support providers, you will build strong relationships within your patch, ensuring our homes and communities are welcoming, well-maintained, and inclusive places to live. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives while contributing to Peabody’s wider mission of building thriving communities.

On a day-to-day basis, you will deliver a responsive housing management service tailored to the needs of customers within the RSI programme. Responsibilities include managing a designated patch, working collaboratively with internal teams and external support providers to resolve tenancy and estate issues, carrying out estate inspections, overseeing cleaning and gardening services, and ensuring properties meet health and safety standards. You will support customers with repairs, tenancy compliance, and sign-ups, and play a key role in void management and allocations. Additionally, you will contribute to community-building initiatives, fostering positive relationships and inclusive neighbourhoods.

This role requires participation in an out of hours on-call rota, a full UK Driver’s license, and an Enhanced DBS check.
