About the Role
The Strategic Sourcing Advisor will execute sourcing strategies and manage supplier relationships to align with the Firm’s goals, ensuring cost efficiency and compliance. This role supports streamlined procurement processes and collaborates on sustainability initiatives. Key responsibilities include executing sourcing activities in line with the Firm’s Sourcing Policy, governance frameworks, and applicable legal, regulatory and compliance requirements. You will partner with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements, advise on sourcing strategies, and support sourcing initiatives. The role contributes to category plan development by providing market insights and analysing spend to identify sourcing opportunities. You will draft sourcing approach and recommendation proposals, manage competitive sourcing processes including tender documentation and supplier evaluation, and undertake commercial negotiations to secure contractual protections, service levels, risk mitigation, and commercial value.

Additional responsibilities include initiating and coordinating supplier due diligence with relevant stakeholders to manage onboarding and risk, supporting contract lifecycle management to ensure timely renewals and compliance, maintaining accurate sourcing documentation for governance, and facilitating responsible sourcing strategies integrating Carbon, ESG, and DE&I initiatives. You will also explore opportunities for procurement process improvements.

This role offers a variety of responsibilities and projects, providing opportunities for development, cross-functional exposure, and professional growth within a globally diverse Finance team dedicated to financial health, strategic decision-making, and operational excellence.

Requirements

Experience
6+ years’ experience in sourcing, procurement, or category management, preferably within the Legal sector. Proven experience negotiating HR systems contracts, including SaaS and cloud-based software agreements, with strong understanding of commercial terms, service levels, data protection, security, and supplier risk considerations. Strong knowledge of the HR category including rewards and benefits, payroll, and recruitment, with the ability to understand category-specific requirements, supplier markets, and stakeholder priorities. Familiarity with sourcing or negotiating commercial terms for Technology and/or Professional Services contracts is highly desirable. Skilled at collaborating with stakeholders to define procurement requirements, evaluate supplier proposals, and recommend preferred options. Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with suppliers to discuss pricing, terms, and identify areas for improvement or collaboration.

Qualifications
