About the Role
International Financing Review is seeking a hardworking and capable journalist to report on the European structured finance markets and reveal what makes them tick. You will uncover the latest developments and themes in the securitisation markets in real time by mining a wide range of established contacts and sources while developing your own. Whether uncovering revealing details in complex financial documents or breaking relevant news with source-based scoops, you will provide structured credit professionals with previously unknown facts and insights that give them an edge over the competition. This role requires comfort with sifting through regulatory filings and engaging senior bankers, investors, traders, finance directors and lawyers. You will also support the credit team's coverage across all capital markets asset classes.

What You'll Be Doing
Writing and packaging stories with accuracy and speed in line with journalistic standards; capturing information to break news including exclusives, beats and insightful analysis; building and maintaining a comprehensive list of industry contacts; developing expertise to become an authority on structured credit and adjacent markets; interacting with clients and colleagues to shape coverage; mentoring junior journalists.

Experience
Proven reporting experience in a news environment with knowledge of structured credit or other capital markets asset classes.

A collaborative professional with strong journalistic instincts, able to work under pressure and develop authoritative coverage in a complex financial sector.

Qualifications
Relevant journalism or finance qualifications are desirable but not explicitly required; a strong track record and expertise in structured finance reporting are essential.
