About the Role
The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Attack Monitoring Analyst to join the Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC). As part of the Security Operations team, you will play a critical role in continuously monitoring and responding to cyber security incidents. This role involves identifying and responding to cyber threats, improving GSOC’s defensive capabilities, and operating within a fast-paced environment. You will work with SIEM tools such as Splunk, QRadar, or LogRhythm to investigate incidents, develop monitoring dashboards, and enhance detection capabilities. Staying current with vulnerabilities, attack techniques, and countermeasures is essential. You will also contribute to developing and refining run books and use cases to strengthen the SOC’s response effectiveness. Experience
- Operating or administrating SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm)
- Strong understanding of network fundamentals including TCP/IP, organizational architectures, and protocols commonly exploited by malware
- Security event analysis, triage, incident handling, and root-cause identification
- Knowledge of attacker tools, techniques, and procedures, ideally from direct experience
- Academic or corporate experience in cyber security
- Ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills
