Support Mentor
Location
Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC), the service is a short walk from Ladbroke Grove (Circle and Hammersmith) station. Please note this service does not have step free access.
Hours
Part Time - 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a rota between 09:00 - 17:00 and 13:00 - 21:00. You may be required to work bank holidays and evenings as needed.
Salary
£27,000 (Full Time Equivalent)
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Mentor to join our team based in RBKC to support residents with multiple and complex needs, including mental health, substance use, homelessness, and/or offending backgrounds. You will provide person-centred support to help residents overcome personal barriers and achieve their goals within a residential setting, creating a safe and comfortable home environment during their stay. Key responsibilities include supporting residents with daily tasks, holding a caseload and conducting personalised key work sessions, carrying out regular welfare, safeguarding and living checks, encouraging participation in activities and events, maintaining up-to-date support plans, collaborating closely with the team to ensure excellent service delivery, supporting colleagues’ caseloads as needed, and providing general housing management support.
Experience
Experience working with people from complex backgrounds and/or a good understanding of the sector, particularly around multiple and complex needs.
