About the Role
Are you currently working within an HR, People or Recruitment team with hands-on recruitment or Talent Acquisition experience? Are you ready to make recruitment a bigger focus of your career? We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Talent Acquisition Officer to join our People and Organisational Development Team and play a key role in attracting and recruiting outstanding talent across our College.

You might already work in a dedicated recruitment role, or perhaps recruitment forms a significant part of a broader HR or People position that you hold. Either way, previous experience of recruitment or Talent Acquisition is essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build on that experience and further develop your career within Talent Acquisition.

As our Talent Acquisition Officer, you will use your existing recruitment experience to deliver a professional and responsive end-to-end recruitment service across a diverse range of roles. Working closely with hiring managers and the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will support recruitment from vacancy approval through to appointment and onboarding, ensuring candidates and managers receive an excellent experience throughout.

You will coordinate recruitment campaigns, advertise vacancies, source and engage candidates, organise selection activities and ensure pre-employment checks are completed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate recruitment campaigns from vacancy approval through to onboarding
- Advertise vacancies using a range of channels to attract suitable candidates
- Proactively source and engage potential candidates
- Manage candidate communications throughout the recruitment journey
- Coordinate interviews, assessments and selection activities
- Build effective relationships with hiring managers and provide recruitment advice and support
- Develop talent pipelines for current and future recruitment needs
- Deliver a positive and professional candidate experience
- Complete pre-employment checks and ensure compliance with safer recruitment requirements
- Maintain accurate recruitment systems, records and reporting information
- Support recruitment events, careers fairs and employer-branding initiatives

Requirements

Experience
Previous experience of working in recruitment or Talent Acquisition is essential for this role. You will have experience of supporting or managing recruitment and selection processes, working with hiring managers to support their recruitment needs, advertising vacancies and managing candidate applications, coordinating interviews and selection activities, communicating professionally with candidates throughout the recruitment process, working with HR systems and maintaining accurate records, and managing multiple recruitment activities and priorities in a busy environment.

About you
You are proactive, customer-focused and able to build strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates. You are organised, able to manage multiple priorities and deliver a professional recruitment service. You are committed to delivering a positive candidate experience and supporting the wider People and Organisational Development objectives.

Qualifications
While specific qualifications are not stated as mandatory, relevant experience in recruitment or Talent Acquisition is essential. A commitment to professional development and continuous learning is encouraged.
