About the Role
HAWI Rocks is a Saturday School focused on creating pop and rock bands with young people in Merton from Years 5 - 10. Sessions revolve around learning, rehearsing, and performing modern pop and rock repertoire, with lead sheets, tabs, and music provided by the lead tutor. Each 10-week term introduces five new songs culminating in an end-of-term showcase performance. Additional performances include Christmas and Summer Arts Festival concerts with Harris Academy Wimbledon Music Department and partnership concerts with other schools such as Kings College Wimbledon Arts Festival and Wimbledon High School Battle of the Bands.
