About the Role
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform used by millions of companies worldwide to accept payments, grow revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, offering you an unprecedented opportunity to impact the global economy while doing meaningful work.

The Payments Product Sales team at Stripe consists of deep functional and technical specialists who lead and advise on strategically important products. We collaborate closely with Core Sales and Customer Success teams to help users adopt products that improve payment experiences, increase conversion, support international growth, and create new revenue streams.

We are hiring an Account Executive, Product - Local Payment Methods (LPM) to drive adoption of Stripe’s local payment methods across EMEA. This role focuses on Stripe’s largest European markets and regions with pronounced local payment preferences, including the UK and Ireland, DACH and Switzerland, Benelux, the Nordics, Southern Europe, selected Central and Eastern European markets, as well as priority growth opportunities in the Middle East and Africa.

As an Account Executive, Product focused on LPM, you will be a quota-carrying product-sales overlay responsible for growing adoption and revenue across new and existing Stripe users. You will partner with Core Account Executives and Customer Success Managers throughout the sales cycle—from opportunity identification and discovery through business-case development, commercial negotiation, technical validation, implementation, activation, and expansion.

You will help some of Stripe’s largest and most sophisticated users understand how regionally relevant payment methods can support conversion, customer choice, global expansion, and sustainable revenue growth for users and payment-method partners. You will develop deep knowledge of Stripe’s portfolio and the payment behaviors shaping commerce across EMEA, including bank-based payment methods, wallets, and other country-specific payment experiences.

You are an adept salesperson capable of engaging in business and technical conversations at multiple organizational levels. You are comfortable navigating product-led integrations and complex customer structures, turning payment-method complexity into clear commercial and technical paths forward. You enjoy building value in competitive situations and creating scalable go-to-market motions based on field insights.

Responsibilities
- Deliver against an individual quota by driving adoption, payment volume, and revenue for Stripe’s local payment methods across EMEA.
- Partner with Core Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to identify, qualify, develop, and close high-potential LPM opportunities across new and existing users.
- Build territory and account strategies reflecting local payment preferences and user expansion priorities across key EMEA markets and priority Middle East and Africa opportunities.
- Lead discovery with business, product, finance, and technical stakeholders to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate payment-method strategies.
- Develop customer-specific business cases connecting LPM adoption to conversion, customer choice, market entry, and revenue growth.
- Lead complex commercial discussions and coordinate with Partnerships and Deal teams when opportunities involve payment-method partners or bespoke commercial structures.
- Collaborate with Solutions Architecture, Product, Engineering, and Post-Sales teams to translate user requirements into viable integration and launch plans.
- Guide users from initial evaluation through technical validation, implementation, activation, and post-launch expansion.
- Monitor adoption and payment volume after launch, identify barriers and whitespace, and coordinate with account teams on growth plans.
- Serve as an internal and customer-facing LPM expert, creating field enablement, account-planning guidance, and repeatable regional sales plays.
- Synthesize market intelligence and user feedback for Product, Engineering, Partnerships, and Marketing to inform product and go-to-market priorities.

Requirements

Experience
- 5+ years in sales, business development, partnerships, or a closely related commercial role at a technology company with a strong track record of meeting goals.
- Proven experience leading complex B2B sales cycles involving multiple business, commercial, and technical stakeholders.
- Experience in payments, alternative payment methods, ecommerce, or financial technology.
- Knowledge of payment preferences and commerce trends in one or more major EMEA markets.
- Experience working in a product-sales overlay model alongside account executives, customer success teams, or technical sellers.
- Familiarity with product-led integrations and complex customer organizational or account structures.
- Experience helping businesses enter new markets, localize payment experiences, or improve checkout conversion.

About you
- Ability to understand technical product requirements and translate them into clear customer outcomes and commercially viable solutions.
- Strong executive presence with effective communication skills across product, engineering teams, operational leaders, and C-level executives.
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Skilled in developing business cases and leading complex commercial negotiations.
- Self-starting, highly organized, and able to deliver results in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time for user meetings, team events, sales kickoffs, and occasional international business needs.
- Proficiency in an additional European language is helpful but not required.

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as described above.
- Strong commercial and technical acumen in payments and product sales.
- Ability to navigate complex sales environments and build scalable go-to-market strategies.
