About the Role
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses, used by millions of companies worldwide—from the largest enterprises to ambitious startups—to accept payments, grow revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, offering you an unprecedented opportunity to impact the global economy while doing the most important work of your career.
The Financial Partnerships team, part of the Global Partnerships organization, is essential to Stripe's success. This team develops and manages relationships with global and regional banks that enable Stripe's product strategy and deliver new capabilities to users. They execute high-impact, cross-functional product partnership initiatives across existing and emerging financial products.
As a Partner Development Manager on the Financial Partnerships team, you will develop and execute multi-year global strategies to build and deepen relationships with key banking partners. You will design, scale, and continuously improve programs that differentiate Stripe, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Risk, as well as banking partners’ executive teams.
This role requires strategic thinking, diagnostic problem-solving across business, product, and technical challenges, and the ability to earn trust and influence others. A high-agency attitude, adaptability in changing environments, and a drive for impactful ownership are critical to success.
Experience
7+ years of financial services experience, including direct work at banking institutions in cash management, FIG, or payments. Experience in partner management or business development with banking institutions in PSPs or fintechs enabling pay-in and pay-out, stored value, and embedded lending is required.
Advanced knowledge of the banking and clearing landscape across multiple geographies, focusing on transaction banking, e-money, safeguarding, multi-currency, and cross-border payments.
Proven experience building proprietary global collection and payout networks.
Track record of working in a product-centric environment with significant internal and external dependencies across product, engineering, legal, sales, risk, and compliance.
Broad and deep experience executing industry-wide partnership strategies to build innovative product experiences and go-to-market models.
About you
You are a strategic thinker with strong diagnostic skills and the ability to manage and develop partner relationships effectively.
You demonstrate a high-agency attitude and can raise expectations in dynamic environments.
You possess excellent collaboration skills to work cross-functionally and influence senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
You are driven to create impact through ownership and have a passion for building scalable, global partnership strategies.
Qualifications
While specific qualifications are not listed, the role requires extensive experience in financial services, banking partnerships, and product-driven environments as outlined above.
