About the Role

As Accounts Payable Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day processes of the Accounts Payable and Expense Assistants, supervising the daily activities of a team of professionals both in the UK and overseas. You will act as the functional subject matter expert for Accounts Payable and Expenses, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments and reconciliations. Key responsibilities include reviewing aged creditors reports and supplier reconciliations, managing weekly payment runs, resolving escalated queries, ensuring valid documentation and VAT compliance, monitoring PO and invoice hold reports, and signing off bank payments in close collaboration with Treasury colleagues. You will also support business change initiatives by educating and assisting wider teams, drive continuous improvement in processes and systems, develop performance reporting, and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, you will represent Accounts Payable in weekly finance team meetings and collaborate with other transactional teams including Treasury and Accounts Receivable to support cash flow forecasting. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage, motivate and develop your team, delivering performance management, technical coaching, and driving results.
Experience
Extensive Accounts Payable and expenses management experience with automated AP processing systems. Proven Oracle AP sub-ledger experience is required. Global experience is essential, particularly across Europe.

Qualifications
