About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to apply for an Advanced Financial Analyst role within the Heart, Lung, and Critical Care (HLCC) Directorate within Guy's and St Thomas' Trust. This is a demanding post that supports the production of monthly reports, projections, and analysis in one of the largest Trusts in the country. The post holder will help plan and lead on specific areas of work that may cut across the entire Trust, specifically supporting Cardiovascular within the HLCC Directorate. The key focus will be to produce the monthly set of management accounting information, meeting with budget holders and generating intelligence to support forecasting and business plans, whilst supporting Senior Financial Management staff. The successful candidate will also be expected to take the lead in setting up new reports, reviewing existing standards, and providing training to budget holders and other key staff.

Requirements

Experience
Substantial experience of working within a finance function with proven experience in a financial management role. Experience of working with large volumes of complex data and transforming it into meaningful information to support both operational and financial management.

About you
Enthusiastic and keen to learn, with a good eye for detail and the ability to meet deadlines. Strong communication skills and advanced IT skills are essential.

Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience. Currently studying for, or actively seeking to study towards, a recognised professional accountancy qualification (e.g. AAT, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA). Desirable: Holds or is working towards AAT Level 3 (Advanced Diploma in Accounting) or equivalent.
