As a Summer Intern in the Banking Business Unit, you will contribute to applied AI initiatives, including generative AI projects, that support financial risk assessment and decision-making. You will gain practical exposure through structured training, hands-on project work, and ongoing mentorship. This full-time internship offers a comprehensive view of Moody’s business and culture, along with opportunities to build professional and technical skills. Program elements include networking, mentorship, leadership speaker series, and volunteer events. Interns complete meaningful project work aligned with real business priorities while building confidence and practical experience.

Responsibilities include designing and implementing AI prototypes for financial risk assessment and decision support, conducting data analysis and context engineering using banking and financial datasets, researching emerging AI tools and frameworks, contributing to applied AI projects addressing real-world business challenges, translating business requirements into AI-driven solutions, and communicating insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will stay current with the latest advancements in AI and their applications in banking.

Experience
- Solid understanding of machine learning, natural language processing, and data engineering concepts
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI models and platforms such as OpenAI, Hugging Face, or Google Gemini, with a willingness to experiment and learn
- Familiarity with modern AI development environments, cloud platforms, and collaborative tools
- Strong programming skills in Python or similar languages
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency
- Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges
- Growing awareness of AI risk management and commitment to responsible and ethical AI use

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Business, Finance, or related fields
- Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028
- Availability to work full-time during the internship program dates (14 June – 20 August 2027)
