About the Role
Are you an aspiring primary senior leader looking for your first Principalship? The Harris Federation is seeking highly motivated and inspirational leaders to join our Accelerated Principal Programme. This 24-month fast track programme is designed to prepare existing Heads of Academy, Deputy and Assistant Heads for their first Principalship through two 12-month placements in contrasting Harris academies, combined with bespoke mentoring, coaching, and professional development.

As a Principal, you will provide leadership and management to secure high quality teaching and learning, rapidly raise standards of achievement, and ensure equality of opportunity for all pupils. You will work closely with the Governing Body and Harris Federation to deliver outstanding education, develop policies and practices, and manage resources efficiently. The role also involves creating a productive and disciplined learning environment and fostering strong community networks with schools, higher education institutions, employers, and careers services.

The Harris Federation is the leading Multi Academy Trust in the country for primary and secondary education, renowned for transforming education in London and achieving rapid school improvement. Our vision is to create exceptional places of learning where every child is safe, happy, and respected. Many of our primary academies are rated Outstanding or Good by Ofsted, with pupils consistently exceeding national standards in reading, writing, and maths, including disadvantaged pupils and those with special educational needs or English as an additional language.

If you are an experienced senior leader ready to take the next step towards your first Principalship, this programme offers a unique opportunity to learn from some of the best educational leaders in the country within a highly collaborative Federation.
